Canadian Sub-Chapter of Education Chapter
The Canadian Sub-Chapter represents Canadians who are past UOW Graduate Diploma of Education students. The Sub-Chapter was established in 2005 and the Committee meets in Toronto , Ontario.
Initiatives for 2006
Committee members are busy planning events and activities for alumni during 2006. This year's first event included the Australia Day Pub Night at the "Squire and Firkin".
Future social activities will include:
- ANZAC Day function in Hamilton
- A future event in London as many alumni come from this area.
- And, of course our annual Alumni Reunion. Keep 30 September 2006 free for this year's event. We will be in touch with the venue and ticket sales.
The committee is also striving to meet with the O.C.T. to assist future Canadian graduates to gain 'an easier passage to employment'. Their goal is to help future students by finding out the particular needs and expectations of the various boards.
